👉 HWS Connect → Tools → Shield Calculator (NA players: /rn/tools/shield-calculator)

🛠️ How to Use It

1. Choose the Vessel type (BA, CV, SV, HV) and your Shield generator
2. Enter how many shield upgrades (capacity extenders, recharge extenders, reactors, hull modifiers) and Specialized Crew you have; devices with a block limit show "Shared limit: used / max"
3. Set the Starting shield charge (0% = shield fully down)
4. Read Shield capacity, Recharge rate, Warm-up time, Delay after being hit, Charging time, Capacity per pentaxid and the Total recovery time with its chart

Shortcut: import a blueprint (or open one from your Local library, shared with the Structure Viewer) and the calculator fills in the vessel type, generator and devices for you.

💡 Good to Know

• Use in-game measured recharge (on by default) uses timings measured in game: a startup delay and slower charging than the config says. Turn it off for the plain config values
• Ignore block limits allows extra devices and crew, e.g. for POI builds
• Charging times are estimates and don't include server lag
• Free for everyone; you must be signed in, you don't need to be online in game
